Join Team Anne Arundel

Do you like the idea of competing in the kitchen? If so, our culinary club, Team Anne Arundel, is looking for a few good chefs! Students interested in participating on the culinary team begin an extensive training schedule that is designed to enhance technical skills, cultivate creativity, and foster fellowship among their peers. Students work with coaches to develop a competitive signature dish, recipe and menu.

Culinary competition provides opportunities for culinarians to further develop their skills in organization, preparation, and culinary techniques.  Students will have an opportunity to compete in ACF sanctioned salons and other local and regional competitions and contest.  Any HCAT student may join the team.

Mission Statement

The mission of Team Anne Arundel is to foster team-work and increased social development among team members; to raise the standards of excellence and professionalism of all HCAT students; and to guide student skill development in culinary techniques in preparation for participation in culinary competitions on a local and regional level.

Students interested in participation on the culinary team begin a year-round training schedule that is designed to perfect technical skill as well as to develop a competitive signature menu.  The training schedule begins in the fall with weekly practice sessions, which leads to more intense practice sessions nearer to actual competition dates.
