Introduces the principles and practices of forensic sciences. Review the history of forensic science, outlining the integrative aspects of this discipline and those of the biological and natural sciences. Includes an examination of the medical and legal uses of the forensic sciences and their specific application in the resolution of criminal investigations. Examine the significance and limitations of DNA evidence in medical and legal matters. You must register for both CJS 250 and CJS 250LB. Lab fee $20. Prerequisite: CJS 111. Note: Students must also register for CJS 250LB section.
