Study the history, culture, literature, and fine arts of France from the early modern period to the present. Discuss the influence of artistic and political movements on early modern, modern, and contemporary French society. Taught in French. Prerequisite: FRE 212 or four years of high school French or permission of department chair. Note: Not for native speakers.
