BIO-212 Genetics

Study the mechanism of heredity moving from the discoveries of Mendel through molecular genetics. Apply studies in viral, prokaryotic and eukaryotic model systems to the understanding of human inheritance and molecular genetics. Prerequisite: BIO 101or permission of department chair and eligibility forENG 101/ENG 101Aand any general education math. Note: Students should check with their intendedtransfer institutionor an AACC Academic and Transfer Advisor before enrolling. Credit is not given for both BIO 212 and BIO 220 or BIO 212 and BIO 285.
