Learn functions and linear models, systems of linear equations and matrices, inequalities and linear programming, mathematics of finance, sets and counting, probability and data analysis. Apply these topics to economics, business and social science. Prerequisite: Achieve an appropriate score on the mathematics part of the ACT or SAT, or score at an appropriate level on the Mathematics Placement Test, or completion of MAT 034 or MAT 012 or MAT 012E or MAT 013B with a grade of at least C, or successful completion of an approved mathematics preparation course. Note: Credit is not given for both MAT 133 and MAT 233.
