Study the basic concepts of calculus with applications to business and social sciences. Learn about limits, continuity, differentiation and integration of polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions. Apply calculus to problems involving maxima and minima, curve sketching, and the least-squares technique. The course includes an introduction to functions in several variables and partial derivatives. Prerequisite: MAT 137, MAT 145 (formerly MAT 141), MAT 151 or equivalent. Note: Credit is not given for both MAT 230 and MAT 191.
