Examine the techniques, processes, and instruments for assessing reading performance. Administer assessment tools, interpret assessment data, and diagnose reading deficiencies. Utilize assessment data for selecting instructional methods, facilitating instructional decisions, monitoring student performance and communicating assessment results in a variety of contexts. EDU 244 is a Maryland State Department of Education approved reading course. Prerequisite: A Bachelor's degree and seeking teacher certification or permission of department chair.
