Join the Department of Architecture and Interior Design for our speaker series with Eric Leshinsky, AICP, chief of comprehensive planning for the City of Annapolis Department of Planning and Zoning.

Over four years in the making, the Annapolis Ahead 2040 Comprehensive Plan was recently adopted unanimously by the Annapolis City Council. The plan sets an ambitious but actionable agenda for the city to address a wide array of goals including housing affordability, mobility options, climate resilience, historic and cultural preservation, and equitable public water access. Although nothing changes easily in the state capital, Annapolis must find ways to adapt as it confronts a variety of pressing challenges which barely resonated when the city's last comprehensive plan was completed in 2009. This talk will dive into the issues facing Annapolis today and how the consensus vision of Annapolis Ahead 2040 will help the city evolve over the next 20 years
