Redefine your future by becoming a dental hygienist through the School of Health Sciences at Anne Arundel Community College!

A dental hygienist is a healthcare professional trained to provide preventive oral care, including cleaning teeth, taking X-rays and educating patients about maintaining optimal oral health. With an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene from AACC, you will be prepared to work in various settings such as dental offices, public health clinics, educational institutions and research facilities.

This comprehensive program includes coursework in oral health, anatomy, radiology and patient care, paired with hands-on clinical training in AACC’s state-of-the-art facilities. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to sit for Maryland dental licensure exams, paving the way for a rewarding career as a registered dental hygienist (RDH).

Join us to learn more about the program’s curriculum, admission requirements, application process and the professional opportunities available upon graduation.
